Honda CX650 Café Racer – this stunning “Red Rocket” custom bike was made by a master Honda mechanic Bobby Thompson, who lives in Winter Haven FL - not a bad place to come this winter to check it out! Some of the key components:
• 1982 CX500TC Turbo frame - VIN # JH2 PCO307 CM0027057, with the rear aluminum swing arm, rear set pegs & rear wheel.
• 1983 Honda CX650 engine - # RC1OE-4002511,with new timing chain and water seal.
• 2005 Honda 650RR - front end with huge brakes, 44 mm fork tubes, and clip-on handlebars.
• 1978 Honda CX500 – fuel tank with custom flip-up flash fuel cap with vent.
• Lights – custom-made dual Triple-Star front headlights, with bright LED tail lights and turn signals.
• Custom-made Seat – with padding and tail section that looks just like a 1960s/70s road racer.
Every part on the bike is new or rebuilt, with lots of hand fabrications. All aluminum parts have been polished to perfection, the rear differential shines like new, and every painted part on the bike is flawless as the pictures show. The bike won trophies at two shows it was entered in last year: the Daytona Bike Week café bike show and Ride Into History in St. Augustine.
The bike runs as good as it looks! It's been driven for about 9 months and is totally de-bugged.
