I have just returned from a solo road trip on my 1983 GL650 from Surrey, BC to Grasslands National Park in southern Saskatchewan, a total of 4210 trouble-free kilometers (2615 miles). My average mileage was 4.68 litres/100 km (60.75 miles per Imperial gallon / 50.58 miles per US gallon) which I thought was pretty good considering some of the speeds I was traveling at. Oil consumption was negligible too.

That's very good, especially pushing the fairing, and I imagine with some weight in the luggage.
its nearly unbelievable.61 uk mpg on a 650 in full flight is brilliant.your machine must be tuned to perfection.

That is some really good fuel usage!

Can one really call it 'mileage' when the distance is measured in kilometers? Is there a term used in metric? How about kiloage?
