Here are a few of my favorite things.
Cept what they cost
My favorites are the electrical cleaners corrosion inhibitors in the middle and I sorta explain below... What are your favorite Elixers ?

In the middle(r of the b-12 chemtool is a tube of silicon dielectric grease. I use this on sliding contacts (switches) De oxit d5 is a cleaner lube that I have used for years to keep connectors from oxidizing, under that is the Truck Lite dielectric compound which I put in connector blocks and at grounding points. next to that is a CRC QD spray (quick disconnect), I use that before I pull apart block connectors.

Last but not least, that fabulous Thunderbird.

It's a toss up taste wise between drinking gasoline or T-bird, BUT, never put Thunderbird in your gas tank, it'll eat through the fuel lines and carb bowls.

"What's the word? / Thunderbird / How's it sold? / Good and cold / What's the jive? / Bird's alive / What's the price? / Thirty twice."

Never store these in a closed space, the vapors will eat through anything.

1:50/50 mix of Brake Fluid and Acetone for a brilliant,"Liquid Wrench" release agent.

2:Sugar and Washing up liquid to clean hands during and after working(don't say use sand as it doesn't dissolve) and sugar also prevents infection into cuts.

3:Hairspray for checking for carb boot leaks and anti-moisture seal on plug caps and leads and as a clear coat over polished aluminium.

4:White Vinegar for cooling system flushing and dissolving calcium deposits.

What's the reason? Port's out of season.

If you're using any kind of Lucas OIL you're using the biggest known snake oil junk in the industry. Any basic research will show this.

Yes, Lucas Oil might as well be freshly squeezed snake oil, BUT - it makes a damn fine assembly lube! (All I've EVER used it for)

That said, my magical elixer is Jack and Coke

DuPont Old #7 chrome polish

Semichrome paste

PB spray lithium grease - creeps in, solvent evaporates, leaves a thin film of white grease.

82% Phosphoric acid (lightly brush on rust spots then hose off before painting)

Superfine (#320) sanding sponges

3M thin flexible sanding pads (auto paint shop)
