i can't host pictures at work so i wanted to post picture of what my spark plugs looked like when i pulled them out last night.

Did you pull these after extended idling? You should run the bike on the highway and then pull them to see what the floats, main jets and slides are doing.

it wasn't doing extended shit. it was stone dead wouldn't crank over. they were very old to begin with. when i got the bike the float bowl was stuck and the jets were plugged up with crud etc. i've rejet it and overhauled the carb a few months ago. i'm just now getting around to doing the plugs because it wouldn't start or stay running for more than a few seconds. i also had some junk gas in the system i had to cycle through and so far its much better. i only let it idle for about a minute after i started it last night i just wanted to hear if that clacking noise stopped which it did. i'll give it a longer run this weekend.
