Hi all,



I just removed an aftermarket fairing off my 81 CX500, and I'm trying to get the mess of wires that were behind the fairing into some semblance of order. The manual picture hasn't been much help, so what I'd like is a couple pictures of where your wires are in the headlight bucket and under the plastic Honda logo. Thanks!

I've got a similar problem, what a mess! My bike also came with a fairing and there seems to be twice as much wiring as necessary. I hate this part of motorcycles.

Agree. Just make use of some zip ties and cram into headlight bucket. Worked for me, and I really thought I wouldn't have enough room.

Last night I managed to get them all stuffed into the bucket after a couple hours of cramming. Now the rat nest on the outside is in the bucket. Now I just need to ride!

Just cramming the hell out of whatever I can inside the bucket. Curious, does the headlight generate a lot of heat from it's back? if so, enough to cause problems for the wires back there?

In my experience, I have never had any issues. Like I said, use some zipties to bundle the wires up, this helps a ton.
