Hi there firstly this forum is great!very helpful.
So im rebuilding my cx500 and i have numbers stamped on the pickup rotor (the silver bit on the end of the fly wheel) the numbers are 3 36 108
What do they mean?
My second question is: my engine uses a cdi. Is there any way to make sure the pickup assembly plate is in the right place or do i just bolt it on and hope for the best?
Many thanks.

IIRC.......The numbers on the end of the fly wheel (the silver bit) should match the numbers stamped on the fly wheel
I'll try and recheck this weekend

The CDI advance pickup coils and the little rotor containing the magnets are a matched set and were only sold as a set. Always assumed that's why they have these "scratched" numbers on them. Should be kept together I suppose, but I don't think the FSM says anything about it.

(I've seen similar numbers on internal pickup coils, not sure if they're always there. Maybe the whole set was matched at the factory?)
