im having trouble with my bike not running. while playing around with it i noticed i got a bit of fuel being blown back towards the airbox(currently removed). so i checked the valves settings. while playing around with this a bit, i noticed that on the non compression stroke at tdc, both valves are open a bit. so i set it to the smallest clearance i could get and turned it over to tdc compression stroke. tons of play in it. id have to use a few leaves to fill the gap. is this normal? any elaboration on the subject would be great.
Ok, I see what you're getting at. It's normal. That's why we have to set them on the compression stroke, because on the other strokes the valves are moving.
