Well, first off a big thank you to this forum for helping me out with the many troubles I've come across. Now to the good stuff.
I started off with a 1980 cx500c that wouldn't start and had no title. Tires were flat, wiring was iffy, and the front brake was just a bucket of decomposed goo. Since the title wasn't coming through I purchased a second bike, 1979 cx500c. This one was better. Looked very nice (except for the huge dent in the tank), and, of course, the engine was seized. This bike, however, came with a title!
Two friends of mine came over and we switched out the motors in about 3.5 hours and a six pack. Not too bad.
I then replaced the master cylinder with an ebay buy, which worked out great.
Stainless line, and caliper rebuild kit later, I can now stop.
The short road test showed some front tire wobble so I swapped those around, still need to road test that swap, but looked ok when hand spun.
The carbs were, as always, a PITA. I have 3 sets, but now, one is missing float needles as I had to cannibalize. That was the first time I heard my bike run on both jugs. I am playing with the mixture screws and still need to firmly attach the air box ports (I should probably inspect the air filter/box too as I may have a colony of mice in there).
So, thank you again for all your help, much of which was simply previously asked questions that I could search for (thank you new forum search engine).
[OK, so edited with pics. Sorry, still getting the hang of pictures.]
