I'm in the process of upgrading to a set of '82, CB900 dual piston brake calipers on an '80 CB750F fork mounted on my '79 CX (follow that?). I have an '80 master cylinder off a set (2) of single piston calipers. Looks like rebuild kits, reservoir, etc, is going to cost me around $80, not including prep and coating of the m/c body.

Would you go this route (rebuild) or purchase new? If new, who would you purchase through? Heard horror stories about leaking Chinese master cylinders.

Truly hoping this is a worthwhile upgrade (to dual piston calipers) as completely rebuilding a set(s) ain't gonna be cheap. I'm going to put one on my '80 CX, too.

Inquiring minds need to know....

Awesome, thanks for the link. That'll save me some effort.

Twin piston setup is good, no?
