I have done a complete rebuild and am wondering how do you lock up the transmission to torque the centre nut with the engine out of the bike?
why not leave the final torque until you have the engine back in?




or you could lock the motor via the 17mm nut under the radiator,take the plug out first of course

If the engine was in I would say to place a board between the spokes of the wheels or have someone step on the brake.



With the engine out I have seen tools with 4 holes in them and a large center hole sporting a handle.



If the whole front cover was off then a penny between the gears would do.
