I am having an issue on both of my CX's. The throttle sticks open (at the grip); It does not seem to stick at the carbs when the throttle cables are not connected. I have to twist it back to closed, or else I have a poor mans cruise control.

Thoughts?

Could be the return throttle cable has a fray in it, thus not allowing it to pull back in the sheath. I would replace both cables for the throttle.

also you can try to lubricate the throttle sleeve (under the grip on the bar) that has worked for me in the past and also spray some wd-40 or something on the carb spring because its really dangerous to have a sticking throttle

When I put the carbs back on, the return throttle cable is so tight to put on that I literally have to muscle it up into place with a large flathead screwdriver. Should this be easier to do?

I have after market B cables that don't have enough play in them to release correctly.I've modified my carb cable bracket to suit by grinding down the B cable bracket area,

This is the standard cable routing but doesn't work for everyone,
