Is it common to eliminate one cable on the GL500 throttle? Would that cause some problems later? I am looking to replace my 81 GL500 cables, and will prob go with motion pro.

Will a 82-83 cable work on my 81?

It's been done, I think, but it's not a common practice. Theory is the return, or pull down cable is there, in case the return spring on the carbs breaks, or gets goobered up.



My thought is: Tiz better to have it and not need it, then, need it and not have it.
