I hate to break it to you, but I guess someone's done a CX trike, the cops of all things...





Someone just posted that ad on here, never knew someone already built one, looks sweet!


I believe that was done by an outfit called Trident. It was most certainly set up as a meter maid unit, with lower gearing and a very sickly top speed. Handling was also a bit squirlly because the bike needs a longer wheel base.

I rode Phil's Old Yeller down in Georgia for a few miles. It was an experience I will never forget! Fun yes, also a bit scary. MGB rear and a GL500 front. Unmodified forks made it a bear to steer, but tons of space in the trunk. I really like the looks, I think the lines flow well. I think now that with beefier forks, more rake and a bit higher gearing (plus some quieter mufflers!) it would have been terrific. I am still in awe of Phil's fabricating skills and imagination.

I think it had some sort of reverse gear too.
