I went for an hour's ride this morning with the temperature running around 36°F. No windshield or Hippo Hands. I was very pleasantly surprised to find I had to turn the heat down on my grips.
I was a little surprised to note how cold I got in the areas I usually ignore... my neck; my face. I expect that big windshield has a huge effect on these areas normally and I've just gotten used to that.
Still it was a beautiful day for riding: not a cloud in the sky, cold, dry and windy. That windshield normally would have caused me to be pushed around by the wind but not so much today, even though the winds were honking.
I noticed nobody boating today. Pansies!
