Hi, I've seen in a few post (like Mike's build cx500RR which is a great post) that are talking about how to increase the gap between spokes and caliper. For exemple, grinding the inner side of the caliper or shimming the caliper to put them more toward the outside of the wheel.
But I could not find what is the end result for the gap, is it 3mm, 5mm or more? What should be the gap? Is there a risk for the wheel to flex on hard braking or turning.

I have a CRB600 2012 fork with Cognito front wheel and there is a 1mm gap.
Thanks,
