I have not been on here for along time. Been riding gl 500 and gl 650 trouble free for the most part least nothing I didn't fix lasr fall I had a starter going out on 650 to day i put two different starters in same sound yes both used starters one out of a running 650 any ideals. If i'm in the wrong place point me in the right Dia

Likely the starter clutch in the flywheel. A failing starter usually doesn't fail completely, but an underperforming starter often causes slippage and wear in the starter clutch.
