Speedo/Tach ratios

Most vintage hondas have the same tach and speedometer ratiso. Speedo ratio is 2240=60mph. Tach is 1:4.

Before going all in maybe you should look at an acewell unit.

Well yeah it changes but not really. It would still be 2240=60mph=96.5kph

The tach would stay the same.

The danmoto unit is a bit cheaper than the acewell. I don't have experience with either, but it may be worth it to look at it...

ebay link $125 shipped to US

danmoto international site - $89 + shipping (for some reason this is the cheapest route, even the US page is more expensive... Probably customs fees or something id guess?

Also, the acewell has a mounting kit/pod I believe. The danmoto would require some fabrication I suppose.

Has anyone tried this? I remember buying a gear indicator and I had to do the same magnet way to calculate the gears.. never worked properly unfortunately... not sure with something like this tho...
