I would think that any honda dealer should have something for you. Since you are on the road. All you would need is a similar length.



But until then watch your speedo.



If you have a 78 with 18 inch rim then I think 5200 rpms equals 60mph in fifth gear.



If 16 inch rim 5500 rpms equals 60mph.



So if you want to go 70mph then 6500 rpms will do on the 16 inch rim.

thanks as allways, I thought it would have to be dedicated for the cx, speed is fine it's the gas I can't keep track of. Right now I'm going by time, but it's not so accuate.

I see your problem with the gas situation, when you're touring unfamiliar area I'd hat to try and estimate if the reserve could get you to the next station. Guess youi'll be making more stretch breaks whenever you see a station.



I do think Stitch is right though, a cable shouldn't be too hard to find and it might not even have to be a Honda.

On my 78 (18 inch rim) I've found (with my speedo and my tach) that speed is RPM * 11, i.e. 5000 RPM = 55 MPH, 6000 = 66 MPH.

wify is posting currently on facebook, dont know how it works but kristinakitchen on face book thing, ill post on trips there has to be another cx/gl out here.

going to try a dipstick with the gas. as far as motorcycle shops,tried 7. no help at all, even daytona, and a 6 story harly shop. thay can have one for me on tuesday.
