I started the bike before work today and besides the running I could hear the tach saying "I hate you, I hate you, I hate you". I guess it's that season again. It's clearly the tach and not the cable but it's nothing I haven't dealt with before.

One of these days I have a feeling one of those handy dandy multi-gauges will make its way on the bike.

What does your bike do to tell you it's time to bring it inside and cover up with a blanket?

My bikes shiver, shake, and shudder, then fall over. This is a sign they have had enough of the cold. No, hang on

a minute, thats me.
Actually I do not submit them or myself to temps below 5C/40F just not any fun on 2 wheels.

I'm a sissy and hate the cold, but the first time I went outside and there was frost/ ice I decided it was a no go. The weather hasn't improved much since then during the off work hours. Rain, cold, lots of wind.. mine has been in the garage and will probably get the sta-bil this weekend. I've been hoping it would be nice enough for one more ride, but there was white stuff outside yesterday, so I don't think it's happening.

Gosh, I feel so sorry for you folks! We get rain, sleet and snow but they never last long. During the months November to February, despite the bad weather we do have quite a few "good days"! My biggest problem is keeping the batteries charged up. When I have to go an entire week without riding I will start and run the bikes, despite the fact that Dave in Wisc says this is bad for the bikes. Someday I hope to have electrical plugs installed where I can use trickle chargers. Today our weather is cold but sunny. I still will not ride to work, just a five minute ride, not worth it in the cold!!

the weather here is like genes high today is supposed to be in the 40's but tomorrow 68 so i never put my bike away and she will always start for me no matter how long she sits for and plus my battery is a gel so i think they hold a charge way better than the wet batterys do

but safe ridding out there to all

ps the other night it was in the low teens and i went on a 2 hr ride (yea i am nuts)got home around 11pm it was fun seeing every one look at me funny

Snow season isn't coming. It's here!

The Grub is already stowed in the corner to make room for the snow blower.

I ride year round here. Only had one time I wished I never did. Eighteen degrees in the snow across the cherohala skwyway is not fun!

The inch we got Monday night was supposed to be 4" to 6", so I needed to have the blower ready. My garage is so small (and full) that it's one or the other.

I had to put mine away too, just the other day. I live in the snowbelt, so the conditions can change so fast during the day that the roads could be clear in the moring, and we could have 6+ inches of snow by the time it would be to ride home.

I also don't like to ride if the roads have been wet, and the temp is under 32 degree's, too much chance of ice. It been a very wet month so far, so I have just been leaving it at home, so I figured time to put it away.

I usually start riding in feb if I can, so not too long for the bike to be down at least. I think I got about 7,500 miles in this year.

Surprised no one started a thread about what people are working on over the winter - I am re-wiring my saddlebags with LED's, and probably re-building the forks.

9" of snow overnight here. I guess I'm done for the year... Woohoo!! New fork seals, brake shoes and pads, some electrical, maybe even new paint.. My ride will not get lonely at least

I'm still holding out although my only day off is sunday and I'm not sure if it's going to really be my day off. I should probably put it in the garage but I just cant convince myself. The 25 degrees it currently is keeps me asking why I didn't put the bike away. I usually stop riding at 18 degrees.
