Dont live in Baldwin St.....maybe NZ members will chip in...
But when I walked it some time ago...there did appear some houses that deliberately seemed angled in the opposite direction....o_O

Edit: my last visit to Sth. Aussie was when you had the GP.(F1)
Great city/state.
In the years of Don Dunstan...was very progressive.....(old man reminiscing)

Extra edit:...(BTW)..My brother in law has a tie in with ?Port-Adelaide FC.....his grandfather/great g/father was one of their first best and fairest....

Our street is nowhere near as steep as Baldwin St. But it does have a pretty good slope upward from west to east. The builder more or less levelled each lot (like terraces) so that the foundations would be the same depth from end to end and then insisted that all of the houses have their garages attached to the west side of the house, which means that most of the driveways have a pretty good slope down to the road.
In the case of our house the driveway is approx. 15.5M long and something like .75M higher at the garage than at the street.
But near the garage it is pretty close to level from side to side.
