Damn, great find!
On the radiator cap question, on the GL's with fairing, it's considerably easier to take off the seat, remove the gas tank bolt and just slide the gas tank back 3"-4" to get to the radiator cap. If you just slide it back, you don't need to disconnect the gas line.
I assume that would probably be the easiest way with the Vetter fairing on the CX as well.
