Newbie here from Winnipeg. Just turned my first 1000k on my new (to me) cx650e...most fun I've had in ages.

You guys are a bit too far away from me, Souris Manitoba here. My wife and I just did a 250k ride on Wenesday and it about did us in. Too much arthritis in the joints and with my knees still healing I can't get into as many positions to relieve the sore but and hips. We wanted to take a few trips to Regina and Saskatoon, but I don't see how now. The summer is passing us by.

Was going to go towards the Rocky Mountains this weekend, possible snow near my destination of Nordegg, cancelled that plan.

Its only the beginning of September, leaves are changing fast around here, not a good sign.

Ride when you can, we know whats coming.

Gopher, you have to stop posting those Saskatchewan pics. You're making me homesick ... and I only lived in Saskatchewan for two years but I'va always wanted to go back. About a year in Carlyle and another year in Eastend. Also a few months in Regina but that's just an ordinary small city.

We've already had frost a few night here in the wilds of east central Alberta. Probably 6 or 7 weeks of good riding weather left if we're lucky.

Hi Colin:

Nice to have another Manitoban on the board. BTW nice pictures of the hidden beauty of Sask. Lots of people don`t know about it because they don`t venture off #1. Go Bombers

Good to see someone else from central Alberta. The way the weather is going here I'm not sure if we will really get anymore "good" riding weather.

Willy, I think this is just a little warning (current weather) of what is coming soon enough.

Pretty sure we are going to get a nice little warm spell yet this fall (fingers crossed).

Its far to early to be thinking about layin up the bikes.

In a perfect life, I would buy a quarter of original prairie on the north bank of the Frenchman River Valley somewhere and build a small house, shop and a guest cabin overlooking it and live happily ever after. Maybe..

Nice to hear from the prairie tribe. There's still a Prairiedog that hasn't checked in yet.
