Hello all :) Just removed the forks on my CX500 '81. Prior to that I received a package with new springs (and seals etc) from YSS (forum removed the link). But when I open the forks it looks like there is one spring to many. The new one is naturally a bit longer than the old one, but with the addition of the "other" spring (rebound?) in there I can't really see how to make it all fit. Any ideas?

Not familiar with that brand of spring but with progressives the supplied spring replaces both long and short spring.

Is the new spring close to the combined length of both existing springs?
Yes they are, thanks a lot! Makes a bit more sense now ;)

Before fitting the new springs index the fork cap to make assembly easier.

Basically, find the point at which the thread starts and mark fork tube and cap. It' makes it easier when reassembling if you don't have to find this point while trying to also compress the spring.
