Just a quicky question....REDEX, ive used it in the car with no probs, will it be ok to put a bottle in the GL? will it clear any crap from the carbs and needles?

hi mr b.

redex is a uk brand name [similar or the same as seafoam in the states]

while these types of products can help.it doesnt take the place of a good carb clean.but,thereafter,well it could certainly help maintain the fuel system.

thats my take on it.

remember too to follow manufactures instructions.

more does not mean better

Ditto to Bandit's reply.RedX and or any petrol treatment will be fine.They will never cure a badly clogged set of Carbs but they do help lube and maintain a good set if you are leaving the bike for prolonged periods help stabilize the fuel as per above.

Not the whole bottle. Remember your tank is only 5% to 10% of the one in your car. I think 1 or 2 ounces is correct. Just read the directions.

redex has been on the market for about 80 years,there big sales patter at the time was.....an upper cylinder lubricant.....

make of that what you will

Cheers for the replies chaps, as the bike will only be run over christmas and not ridden I think i will drop a few capfulls in the tank just to keep the fuel up to scratch. Struth its starting to get bloody cold.

Ah Yes.There are now only 3 new British Seasons Which are Spring/Summer(very short) and De-icer
