I am wanting to put some rearsets on my cafe project. I have been searching around and it seems like custom fabrication is my only option. Since we switched forums also, I am wondering if anyone has some good threads, links, or other resources regarding this. Thanks.

50Gary (or it might be gary50) has made a simple set for his bike. I think he is considering producing a few sets, but Im not sure. Check out his thread (I think its called, test ride on my project)

I'm working on six sets for the first run. We did the rearset "triangle" and next we have to make the foot pegs and shifter levers. The brake side Lever will be the last piece to finish. There are pictures on this board of the prototypes. The CNC versions are already nicer finished than the first ones. More to come ASAP.

these forks are from speed triple 1051 and the rearsets are after market Gilles brand

What motorcycles shift in a similar direction to ours? In terms of current day sport bikes, or semi current day. Thinking about looking at those rearsets for some ideas.

Moto Guzzi and BMW. Neither is helpfull as the shifters are further back. You have to custom make them for the CX.

After looking around at a bunch of photos, I am curious. Has anyone here ever tried to mount CX500T rearsets onto a regular CX500? It looks as though the frames are similar and the controls are mounted further back. Shifter input to the trans looks similar too but bent towards the rear of the bike more. I ordered a set of rearset mounts from a 500T off ebay for cheap so I am going to see if they might fit.
