Ok I just got the 18" rear wheel to put on my 82 Gl500. I need to know what is the tallest and widest tire I can put on this rim and put on this bike. Thanks for the help. Kevin

Stock is the tallest and widest you can or should do.

The manual says stock is 130/90-16 67S tubeless.

Yeah but he has the 18 which it thought was something like 120/80.

Presuming that its a 2.15 rim width, the widest tyre you can run is 120/90-18, and the tallest tyre would be 4.50-18

That's thw answer I was looking for. It has a 110/90-18 on it now and I wanted to get as close to the silverwing original tire as possable. I'm going to try a 120/90-18 Thank you

I don't think you can go to the next size largert than stock. There is very litle clearance between the tire and swingarm.
