Yes, the invoice displayed both companies. Not sure what sister companies means really, but I’d guess both are within some common owner or management. Progress?

The invoice is there just for warranty if needed...and probably not ...enjoy the new bits........both companies are reputable..

There are actually four sisters: Z1, Randakk's, Dime City, and MikesXS. Ownership trying to cover as many bases as possible.

It means Randakk sold his company to a mega-retailer a year or two ago.

Thats what I figured. Installed the kits tonight. Two identical kits, well, not so much. Low speed spring was much larger in one kit. Oh well, just reused the old one as I did on some of the jets. And I payed for the “premium kit” 😆. Was $2 more. 😆. It did detract from my belief that Randakks was different/better (a little).

Your report on this kit makes me very happy I ordered my kit before Randakk’s sold. I haven’t used the kit yet because my problem ended up being corrosion in the spark plug caps. The brass rod mod fixed the problem and the old gl500 has run flawlessly ever since. I am happy to have the kits for when needed but this bike is so rock solid reliable I can’t see trying to fix what isn’t broke.

Randakk's does still have stuff no other retailer has. Randall got old and wanted to spend his time riding and with family. I still have one of the first prototype spin-on adapters for a GL1000 that he made before he had any web presence at all.
