Careful what you cut. You still need the 3 yellow wires to charge the battery but you can cut the high and low speed coils on the stator - the blue and white wire in the 2 pin connector. The 4 wires for the left and right pulsers are no longer needed.

You need the reg/rec to be working so don't cut anything there.

Installed the Rae san hall into my cx500 bike running great ,can I now get rid of the stator wires and the regulator rectifier.

I will probably get a Rae San system. However, only my stator pick-ups are faulty. Lots of people make CX500 stators but I haven't been able to find the two pickups that manage high and low revs. Does anyone know if someone makes, provides or repairs them?
