I have a 1982 GL500 The radiator needs to be cleaned and I started removal. Do the coils have to come off to get to the upper hose? I think I can get the hose clamp off from the front, and wiggle the radiator off. Don't think it would go back together very easy. Any tricks I should know about.

no,do not touch the coils.just depends where the clamps of your hoses are fixed, just try and release the clamps, and it will ease off
