you can add oil thru the top cap

make sure you have a jack under the motor when you do this to support the bike

To screw the cap back in, you have to compress the inner spring. It makes something that should be simple, much more difficult.

 

the forks hold the bike up

if you take the cap off you release the spring the spring is 50 percent of what is holding the bike up

Also, I have a CX500C 1982. The owners manual says 135-140ml oil per side. But this manual is for 78/80 bikes.

Is it the same for the 82 model or does it require a different level ?
