Hello, I want to upgrade the front fork suspension of my 1982 Gl500i and i just wanted to know if the springs provided by progressive suspension would be any good in place of the OEM ones. If anyone has used this product it would be good to get some feedback on it.

I upgraded my CX500 Custom with their springs and replaced the oil with 20W and it is amazing. Rides like a modern bike.

I also changed the rear to Hagon Road shocks. Also amazing.

This post caught my eye - I've fitted this evening Hagon progressive springs and 15w oil. I havent ridden it yet, but I can immediately feel and see the difference compared to before. Advise you spend the time getting all the air out of the oil before you drop the springs in. I'm not sure what springs you will go for, but with the hagon's you will need a 140mm air gap from when the forks are fully compressed to the top of the fork.

Look into cartridge emulators along with the new springs. I put them in my GL500 and my only regret was not doing it years ago.
