Finally decided to install Progressive Springs on my 1980 CX500D project that

does not have the air hose/charge installed on the top of the forks. Hoping to

have new springs ready to install when I remove the old springs.



Will Progressive 11-1109 Springs work on the 1980 CX500D?

Been looking at past post and not sure.

Outside Diameter .86"

Rate: 35/45 lbs per inch

The part # 11-1109 is correct for your year make and model.



Good luck with progressive. Several of us have gotten bad batches with either one or both springs the wrong size.



As long as the OD of the part is .86 or 22mm they will be fine.



I bought mine from Phat Performance and then when they were wrong I had to call progressive to get things fixed. The good thing is progressive sent me replacements for free and I sold the first set to someone building a project.
