well some days ago i found a hub from gl 1100 i think, with spokes. Then i took the disks from my new front fork and put these on and then i realise that the space between the disks was smaller than the space on calipers so i put 2 spacers, one of each side of the disk and here is the results
very nice job garry and shinny, i guess you have a lathe in your garage, that is great advance you can do anything,i have to go to a craftsman everytime i need something, lately im thinking to by one small
That was done by CNC mill not lathe. The five small bosses could not be turned. Looking closely you can see the steps the mill made in each pass .070" (1.778mm)you can write the CNC program to make the steps much smaller and closer that would yield far fewer tool marks and a very smooth finish. The dollar cost of that would be far more expensive than these cost. I "bench" finished the tool marks by hand, it took about 3 hours extra but I saved money.
yikes! I thought I was spend alot on time on polishing
