Ok. Now I have ugly's picture on my profile, how do I get it to show when I post? My son helped me reduce the size of the picture. I have not had to do that before. Never had to work with pictures on the computer.

from your profile you click "edit my profile" box in upper right hand corner. Then click "change avatar" in the box on the left. Then upload the picture from your computer using the "browse" function. Remember to click "save changes" at the bottom of the page.



If you have done all that already, I think I recently read that it is now taking a couple days for the changes to show up.

Yep it's all about the avatar photo. I saw the profile picture that you have so doing the same steps with the avatar photo should get you going.

I just changed my avatar,,no waiting at all, it showed up right away.

Sometimes, depending on browser settings you may have to hold down the shift key when you refresh or reload a page to get changes to show up. I don't think that is your problem though, as I see no avatar photo either.

I noticed that your profile pic is 250 pixels wide, the avatar pic is not supposed to be more than 200. In my settings page where I upload a pic it says "image scale" is turned on (I see no way to turn it on or off, must be a admin function)and it automatically re-sizes the images,it seems to work for me as I just tested it with a 250 pixel wide photo. Does your page say "image scale" is on?

When you upload the avatar, does it show up on the upload page?



Maybe it will show up after a while,,, but I do not have to wait any amount of time. It seems strange it would be different for you.

Ki4, you still aren't up and I think Allan is right that it should only take a few minutes. I'm wondering if you remembered to click the "save changes" button on the bottom of the page. It is easy to miss.
