I am considering looking for and purchasing a CX500D to fix it up. I have a '78 CB750F which has a few parts that are VERY difficult to find (e.g. piston rings) because some of the parts are a unique design and can't be interchanged with other CB750s' parts.

My question is how hard is it to find OEM parts for these bikes? Is there a compatibility with all CX's for many parts? Are there suppliers out there that still carry a lot of OEM parts? Please share any info you have that might help me.

Thanks

I have a 81 custom and have been very impressed with getting needed genuine parts. You can always go to a few of the parts shops online and look up your prospective bike and see what is available.
