Hey guys, I just removed the engine from my '78 cx500... Later I noticed this little part on the ground: I have no idea where it came from (or even if it's from my bike). Can anyone identify this for me please:

That is the oil orfice that goes right above the transmission behind the front cover. Has an o-ring with it too. It is very important. There are also oil orfices under each cylinder head. That one however looks like the one by the transmission...it is larger then the ones under the heads.

Glad you guys pegged it.

I was gonna say its the thingy that attaches to dodad to keep the whatchamacallit from leaking the black stuff into the knooter valve causing a host of problems with aerodynamic lift of the vertical stablizer.
