I just picked up one of the four gauge dashboards that was an option for the GL500 factory fairing.

One of the gauges is an outside temperature gauge and is equipped with a mechanical remote temperature sensing probe that has a bracket to affix it to the bike with a screw.

I'm guessing that the probe goes inside the fairing but don't know where to affix it.

Does anyone have one of these that they can check where the probe end is affixed to? In a Goldwing forum, there was mention that it was affixed above the headlight but I would think that the heat from the bulb would impact the temperature reading.

I have the same cluster and ran the temp bulb through a small hole in the inside of the fairing just above the fairing mount arm on the left side. Get this from Ebay last week? I was watching that auction, nice price.
