Just finished my accessory fuse panel for my GL500I. It includes fuses for the stereo, Electric fan conversion, and ground effects lighting as well as the relay for the fan and the power supply for the GE lights.

I have resisted opening up the crimp vs solder issue..;)
Im a firm believer that a good crimp is reliable....its used in light aircraft...my Cx from faired to "naked" was crimped.....
Its very neat as per other posts...well done
Cheers

Nice and organized I like!
Here on the wet coast of canada , I recomend Dielectric grease on connectors if you ride in the rain.

I use a bit of a combination of crimped and soldered. I tin the wires before I crimp the connectors. Makes the crimp much more solid.

I usually dip the wire in flux before crimping, and solder after.

If i Solder , I crimp the wire then Solder the end of the wiring sticking out on the connector end. That way the connector acts as a heat sink and you have a flexing wire than will withstand the vibration longer.

Ground effects lighting is so much easier these days. When they first started to be popular a few decades ago a fellow in the club I was in spent a small fortune on a kit to mount some sort of glass tubes (can't remember if they were fluorescent or a neon variant but they were expensive largely because the glass had to be protected) under his Harley and everyone oohed & aahed. I had a spare bullet marker light with a blue lens so I mounted it under the body of my sidecar as a gag and called it the poor man's ground effects. It actually didn't look bad but I eventually removed it because it was the winter machine so anyone who was outside after dark was too busy watching for ice to notice it anyway ;-)

Now that 12V weatherproof LED strips are cheap and plentiful in any colour you want (even RGB strips that let you control the colour in real time) it is much easier to produce good results at a reasonable cost but I'm still not out on the bike enough after dark when/where anyone would notice for it to be worth me bothering.

She's done! Final check for anything I forgot to tighten tomorrow. Then a dust off & clean up. Recheck all fluids. Then the big moment. First test ride!

Setback. Ran the engine up to temp today. Small coolant leak appeared. Not sure yet where it's from. Also valve ticking on the left cylinder. Will require some disassembly to fix that, as well. the good news is that my new voltage regulator from Murray's Carbs is working great...14.2 volts at the battery and my electric cooling fan mod is working. I would prefer that it came on a bit sooner. though. maybe a new thermal switch?

Finished the job of replacing the radiator temp sensor and reassembly. The fan is now turning on at about 188° and cycles nicely. At last Barney (the name my wife gave my purple dinosaur) is off the lift and on the ground! Now for the process of test rides to see if there are any more issues to deal with before I can fully trust it on the road. Then the process of getting it registered and inspected.
