Hi Guys! Im new to this forum and really excited to be here!
I'm Looking forward to buy a used Honda cx500, it is really cheap on the price (around 600 dollars). The thing is, it's really cheap since the last time the owner used it, it started leaking oil through the cooling fan. He said it leaked about 1 liter of it through the night. I'm searching for advice on the subject, do you guys think this may be a risky purchase? Or could this be an easy fix? Thanks again guys

Can you pics of the front area the leak is purported to be coming from? As Murray says, the cam is what drives the mechanical fan, so the cam cover would really only leak during running. That isn't really an expensive fix if that's the culprit. Nor is the other front gaskets, but there may be other issues that need investigation.
Other pics of the bike? Mileage?
