The radiator will have to be removed regardless.

The transmission cover cannot be removed with the hanger in place. The lower right hand radiator mount interferes.

Just pull off what you need to to see everything.

You'll be doing it anyway.

Actually, it can be done if the rubber grommet is removed from that lower right mount. Still, it's a PITA with the hanger there, and reinstalling is even worse.

I tried removing a front cover {admittedly, some years back} and it wasn't working for me whatever I did. I tried removing the grommet too.{ I think}

Maybe just a matter of YMMV but since then I've always removed the hanger to access the trans cover.

With the radiator removed, there's no impediment to reaching any of the bolts.

gotcha. I thought you meant to leave everything in place.

Though at that point removal of the hanger is easy.
