Hello guys i hope everyone is well…

I discovered an oil leak behind camshaft holder ,tacho drive for second time in about 6 months…
I removed the holder and i got a lot of oil leaking from the area there after remove the holder .. around 300-400ml leak when i remove the holder
my question is it normal to hold that much oil there ?
I left the bike seat overnight before remove the camshaft holder

I have not dug into my motor just yet but I know from the size and source of the apparent leak that turned my motor into a greasy blob that that area must see a lot of oiling in operation. I have read that replacing that seal one needs to make sure the camshaft is perfectly smooth and be installed meticulously.

There is a splash trough below the camshaft that holds a quantity of oil.
