Hi to all,just doing a little work on mates sons pit bike and cannot get it to fire,first of all i have washed out fuel tank,give carb a good cleaning(even took carb of running bike to no avail)fuel getting to carb ok,also got a very good crisp blue spark at plug,dont seem to be getting fuel into cyclinder.could it be mixture screw setting on carb, or could timing be that much out that it would not make an attempt to fire.

does it run if you put some fuel down the cylinder? have compression

Points ignition? Check for a sheared flywheel key causing slipped timing.

Have you tried spraying some volatile fluid into the carbs like Carb/Brake cleaner to see if you can get it to fire?

Yes it is 4 stroke.

But its a motorcycle, I suppose... Maybe a China made honda clone ? More info on this might help.



check to see if fuel is coming out of the tank, then out the petcock, to the carbs,,, is the float stuck?

I own a Lifan 50 cub clone.... just like the CX, it will act bad with anything other than the stock airbox thingy... Mine would not start with a KN cone, it did look cool though.
