Hey everyone. I just brought home an 81 Silverwing - my first Honda. Not running but looks like an easy fix. The fan came apart on the PO and took out the radiator. Been sitting for about two years. Thanks guys. I know I'll have lots of questions, especially when I try to bolt the fairing back on! Is there a writeup on the headlight conversion? Did a search but couldn't find any details.



Unfortunately I'll be in Washington DC for the next two weeks. She'll be waiting for me when I get back home!

I thought there was more Oklahomans on here. I still swear I'm going to have some thick cards printed up with a means of non-destructively attaching them to a bike, (I doubt anyone would appreciate scotch tape on their paint job) that way when I see a CX or GL and I don't know who it belongs to I can attach the card with our forum name, web address, basically what we're all about and an invitation to drop in. My girlfriend got real pissed when, as we were walking from the parking lot into the newer of the two Firelake Casinos, I noticed a GL500 amid alll the other bikes and stopped to look it closely over.

glad you got it. Saved me from a buttkicking from my wife. Sounds like it needed a little more garage time than I was willing to do, anyway.

i met another guy today that lives in the south side of okc rides a 81 silverwing that is maroon and white and a real clean looking bike with full luggage bags i told him about the fourm and said he will check us out and he wants to go on a ride with us "okies"
