I have recently been rebuilding my 1979 CX 500 and now I am in the final phase after paint. I am putting new rear suspension on, replacing the originals with the progressive 412 13in. The length is fine after my frame modifications, my only concern is the width (top view) of the eyelet is thinner on the new than the old, leaving play (see attached picture). I was wondering what the best modification to fix this is: Using washers, shortening the length of the pins, choosing a non capped nut, or none of the above.
