My wife and I went for coffee on the bikes last night and on the way home we met a sport bike, and just as I waved he lifted the front tire in a big wheelie. The bike was just screeming as we passed. This was at highway speeds.

I assume you lifted your front end in reply. : )

Silly sport bikers, can't even wave properly!

I saw someone doing that in traffic the other day. He started tilting in the air and almost ate shit when he landed. In fact, both front and back tire actually smoked when he landed.

As Stitch said "not far off a handicap plate".. My knees are so ratched up now that I have only just got back riding. The front end has come up on the 650 [couple of inches], but it was not on purpose and not at any speed so speak of.

Handicapped? or crazy with talent?

I was going 50 mph (80kph), when a young lad on a sportbike past me doing a wheelie like I was standing still, and

kept it up for as long as I could see him ahead of me. Honestly I was impressed with it. Kid had talent, nuts but talent.

Me? a little jealous.

I also had a young sport bike guy go by me as I rode my bicycle. He lifted the front as stable as can be and rode it for very long way standing on the pegs, total control. I thought now that's cool.

Cheers, 50gary

I used to lift the wheels all the time - flying over hills though. Nothing like coming off a steep climb only to go flying for 10' before you hit the dirt again. :)

And I am going to assume it was not on your CX

I too enjoyed that airborne feeling on my TW200, but unfortunately, it had a limited suspension, and I had limited

balls. So 2 feet of air was HUGE.
