There were several conversion snowmobiles up to around the 70's that had wheels. Just like how we can now buy track kits for fourwheelers.

I was considering doing a sled conversion. I have a polaris ultra 680 that is piped jetted and clutched. When I found out I could make that speed demon street legal I was completely shocked. I can't imagine putting that sled on wheels on the street. WAY to much speed. And the power band is incredible.
