Do you have a burnt out stator already? Why not send it out to get it rewound? Custom Rewind in Birmingham, AL has done some for several members here. Around $100 +/-, best to call them at the 800 number on the website.

yes burnt out,all 3 yellow wires melted.only found it because i was going after the crank sensor due to computer setting code 3-0-w.crank sensor.felt like better to replace both while rear cover off.thanks for the info.don

This reply is probably too late, but for the crank sensor, you'll need to do some "engineering". See here

I just did this on mine using the ME544 Toyota sensors. There does not seem to be a rock solid method of determining proper polarity, so be prepared to do some more "engineering" on the wiring for the pickups!

crankshaft angle sensor and engine speed sensor are two different things...you replaced your engine speed sensors. I believe the original poster is referring to his camshaft angle sensor which is near the stator...though it doesn't mean that his engine speed sensors shouldn't be suspect too since if one them is faulty is can throw some odd codes.

Sorry... My bad!
n/p just didnt want to confuse the guy?

He might as well at least check his speed sensors and replace them if they do not look so good, esp. if he had a leaky water pump seal.
