I'm new to the Whole CX500 craze and I'm looking for input and ideas for my bike. I'll post a pic of the work in progress and just let me know what you think. Here's a little list of what I've done already.

Painted tank and side covers hammered Grey

Removed tach and center lights display

Replaced handle bars

Reduced seat size

Custom alligator tank cover (made by me)

Buffalo hide handle grips (also me)

Removed turn signals and brake lights, installed LED brake lights

Replaced Clutch with Barnett plates

Oil change, new filters and cam chain tensioner adjusted.

Checked and adjust vales, tappets, rockers, etc.

Still have a knocking noise in clutch when in nuetral and clutch is out, but not sure what that is?

I hope you can tell the before from the after pic.

Anyway, here we are............to be continued!

I said it's alright and the reasons why are...

The rear section is only so so. I don't see any lights. Not that they matter but I believe you should at least have a tail light even if it's only novelty.

The license plate looks interesting but I would like to see another picture because i'm curious what bolts it's hooked too.

Looks like you're missing a gauge and I'm not feeling the handlebars.

The seat could also be better fit and covered. Which seat pan did you use for it. If you could snag one from a sportster they have plastic pans and a bit of foam and staple gun make everything easy.

That tank cover is pretty snazzy. Also want to see another better picture of that. Engine, exhaust, front end and tank all look nice.

Thanks, the tail lights are hard to see because they are so small, but when they light up they are visible. I agree with the handle bars quote, I actually changed them last night. I'll post some other pics today too. Thanks for sportster idea I will look into it, it's the stock pan right now and I hate it.

I like the bib a lot now. I also sew bibs for my bike because they look nice and I prefer not to spill gas on the tank.

As for the license plate holder something to think of is that top bolt that it's bolted to is the air breather.

I'm not sure how much it needs to breath but thats what I know.

Think it looks great for a first build! A few corrections here and there and you have one nice lookin' bike

I thought about the breather screw and went with it anyway, seems to be holding up fine. Might have to rethink if something goes wrong. What do you think about removing one muffler all together and caping it from the h box, then remove baffle on remaining muffler. Kind of a 2 in 1 homemade system?

Bad idea. If you want a 2 into 1 buy one or build it.
