Well moving to atlanta soon for a while while the wife figures out how to make sure I'm destitute for the rest of my life. I can't move my CX because the powdercoater still has the frame and the engine is still on the bench. I am looking at a GL500I tomorrow. The guy says it runs good. 800 bucks. We'll see. At least it's red. My favorite color for the CX.

Sorry about the whole marriage thing, but welcome to Atlanta. Nice to see she is being amicable about it. Good luck.

I don't understand. You once said that she earns more than you do, and I assume the other man wasn't yours. So, shouldn't she be paying you?

Al, sorry for the reason for the move but we lived in Atlanta (Dunwoody area, just inside the perm from Perimeter mall) for almost 30 years. At the time it was a great place and we enjoyed it. It has grown since we left in 1998 but I am sure you will enjoy the city! Like any large metro area you will be able to find most anything you want or need in the metro area!

I lived in the Atlanta area from 1994-2001 and the happiest day of my life was the day I packed up and LEFT !!

Now that being said IF you like being in a metro area where over 4 million people are crammed into a space meant for 2-3 million you love Atlanta.

IF you like being stopped at one stop light for 20-30 minutes then you'll love Atlanta.

If you you like being in a metro area where the size of gangs and gang violence is growing at a faster rate than any other metro area at this time then you'll love Atlanta.

If you work for a major airline and you like having to leave your home 2 hours earlier than you'd have to leave home where you're at now just to make sure you can get to Hartsfield Airport to get to work on time then you'll love Atlanta.

If you like horrible BBQ sauce totally thinned out by vinegar and oil vs. the nice thick sweet BBQ sauce of the Midwest and other areas then you'll love Atlanta.

If you love having the luxury of a Waffle House on EVERY corner then you'll love Atlanta.....LMAO !

Enjoy the Atlanta area

Good luck with the new bike. I could have sworn too that your wife made one hell of a pretty penny more than you so you should hunt down a good lawyer and let the two lawyers figure out the details.

Welcome to the neighborhood.

I agree with rickbert on most things, but not on the BBQ. You just have to know where to look.

Yeah Dave the BBQ comment is just an opinion and the other stuff is pretty dead on.....

That all being said about Atlanta....it truly IS a beautiful place....it looks like it was carved out of a forest, there are trees everywhere, everywhere I lived the backyard was all trees and you couldn't see the neighbor that lived behind you which is a real nice thing (except for all the pine needles !).

Personally I just couldn't stand all the people and moreover the traffic because it truly is a nightmare.....Atlanta just grew too fast all at one time and the infrastructure couldn't keep up.

EDIT: Also I heard that Sandy Springs finally got it's wish and has incorporated and become it's own entity ??

Also....the gang problem I was referring to: The History Channel had one of their "Gangland" documentaries a couple weeks ago about the "SUR13" gang that has totally over run the area, is what I was referring to.
