Temp gauge not working, not accurate or just acting up? It's probably that little 7V regulator module going out.

I eventually plan to make a small plug in module built from these but time is limited with the other stuff I've got going on which is far more important to the community as a whole.

If anyone needs one of just the IC don't hesitate to drop me an e-mail. I figure what with my costs, proper anti-static packing to stand up to USPS and postage (not to mention the driving) I'd sell the IC by itself for $2.50 shipped. I realize the 7805 + green LED solution works fine but it can have some problems as far as regulation accuracy with temperature, these will not.

Just drop me an e-mail which should be in my profile.

Just about ran out of bubble envelopes, GoldWing guys about cleaned me out but I'm fine again now, just a bit short or parts inventory.

I still have plenty of these kits in stock if anyone needs one.

I've come across this while migrating threads in the custom boards. I've put it here, I'll leave it to the custodian of this board to work out what to do with it. I know it's not really appropriate to this board, but in some ways it is as a reminder of what an asset MarshallF3 was to us all.

Another one missed.

I miss Marshall, he was a great guy. As fior the 7V reg, while they are hard to source in stores (7807) they ARE still being made by National, Fairchild and other IC makers, they are just not a stock item.
